Who Do We Serve?

“Most people aren’t going to just on purpose serve the Devil. They aren’t going to choose that just outright. But, by not serving God, that’s what you end up doing…serving the Devil. But what most of us usually do that gets us off the path, that leads us down the wrong path, is we begin to be self-serving. It all begins to be about me. It’s all about us: how does that make me feel; well, what’s that gonna do for me; well, how’s that going to affect me? Now that’s a natural, normal state of the fallen man. You notice that when you put toddlers in a room together, you don’t have to teach them how to be selfish; it comes naturally with that fallen world seed of sin that’s in there. But, when we become born again, we’re supposed to put away those childish things; it’s not supposed to be all about me anymore.”
